In the art of communication, our bodies are intuitive masters. Our bodies attune to vibration, respond to smells, and faithfully store our emotions. The aching shoulder that dutifully stored the days thoughts and feelings we did not address right then and there.

Connecting to our inner selves is a sacred act that does take bravery. Gifting yourself the sacred art of ceremony  to support your journey is life changing. Ceremony slows us down, drops us into the deep space of listening and ceremony can help us greet the stories held in our bodies with compassionate curiosity and openness.

The curative powers of community ritual is on par with the intentional taking off of the armor we wear to protect our hearts. Both can call in deep rest renewal and recalibration. Breathing deeply in time with our own beating heart we cultivate new possibilities.

Fear
by
Kahlil Gibran

It is said that before entering the sea
a river trembles with fear.

She looks back at the path she has traveled,
from the peaks of the mountains,
the long winding road crossing forests and villages.

And in front of her,
she sees an ocean so vast,
that to enter
there seems nothing more than to disappear forever.

But there is no other way.
The river can not go back.

Nobody can go back.
To go back is impossible in existence.

The river needs to take the risk
of entering the ocean
because only then will fear disappear,
because that’s where the river will know
it’s not about disappearing into the ocean,
but of becoming the ocean.
