Ceremonies entice us back into flow through awakening our senses rooted in pleasure. Sight. Touch. Taste. Hearing. Smell. Leaning into ceremonies help us to stay rooted and present to ourselves. Ceremonies invite spaciousness, wonder, joy, creativity, and vulnerability. Ecstatic pleasure is birthed from the release of pressure.
The death of a loved one is profound... as are breakups, a health crisis, and disenfranchised grief like the death of a pet, miscarriage, words never spoken or heard.
Our bodies faithfully hold everything for us. The days stress in our neck and shoulders!?! Our bodies also offer us a beautiful gateway of release and renewal. Running is my cousin's favorite way to release stress! I prefer ceremony.
Intentional ceremony offers a tender framework for slowing down and being present. Slowing down not from exhaustion, but to intentionally cultivate connection to feeling and healing.
We are holding so much grief. Pandemic grief, personal grief, environmental grief, sexual grief, gender grief, historical grief...
We become better advocates for change when we connect to and process our grief. Our blessed human bodies grant us the most exquisite tools for healing. Sight Hearing Touch Taste Smell When was the last time a song moved you to tears? Certain smells remind me of loved ones. How a touch can stop us in our tracks.
I hope that you will continue to prioritize rest, recouperation and healing into your life!
